Kerygma Community Outreach |
|
THE GAP IS widening in our society between the church and those who remain outside its influence. The primary function of Kerygma Community Outreach is to build links and share the Christian Good News, with individuals of all ages, who have little or no contact with the Christian Church. It will seek to be a bridge into communities, including villages scattered around. The bus will principally be available throughout the Staffordshire region and adjoining counties.
The secondary aim is to release the potential, and to train up and encourage a new generation of faith-sharers.
We currently work in:
- Schools – leading collective worship and lessons (recommended by our LEA & Diocesan Advisors for RE). Over 8,000+ children have been on board for RE lessons.
- Youth café’s – where young people can ‘chill-out’ in the evenings
- Weekend / other events – this can be multi-event e.g. car boot sales, agricultural shows, fetes, craft fairs, town/village centres, supporting Christian events, missions, seasonal activities at Christmas and Easter etc
- Amazing meeting point potential!! (especially in our villages)
- We can also provide the facility so you can run your event such as examples given here
- for Alpha / similar groups
- an alternative away day meeting venue for leaders!
- coffee drop-ins, parenting courses etc
The Bus is only limited by our imagination and a place to park it!!
